My Birthday

Already knew this year's birthday will be spent different the moment I got the calendar for this new project. But I never expect it to be one of the most memorable ones I ever had.

I was counting down to the day at work with a bunch of colleagues who are working on the same project as me. They were counting down to the hours and minutes before the clock hits 12am. Then they all started singing birthday song to me, all out of tune and seems like coming from people who are tone deaf. Hey! The vocal "trainings" we had with Babes seems useless for us.

Then I got an sms from him, saying happy birthday...wanted to know if he remembers it or was it the reminder post it from Jill that did the job. He said either way he would know as he had it in his reminder in his mobile. MEN! Why don't they know how to send a girl to seventh heaven by a simple white lie?

Anyhow, Jill left me a lot of birthday messages - written on a stack of GREEN paper - sticked to my noticeboard in the office. My mobile starts to ring with all the smses coming in.

The next day, everybody in the theatre started saying happy birthday to me and this lasted throughout the whole day. It works as everyone was trying to pretend to forget that it's Michelle's birthday too, and we had a huge surprise planned for her.

At lunch time, the production team surprised me with a birthday cake. Allen, not knowing that it's my birthday today, said he has decided to tie a ribbon to the evs and give that to me as my birthday present, from OB. Hahahaha!!

At the end of the show that night, Michelle's surprise look was worth everything we planned. Her cake was being pushed out by MLB, whom Joanne volunteered to take care for us. And to sum it all up, her birthday cake was marvel-licious!! Haha! And I got a turtle soft toy from Joanne, which Jill named Queen Kopi.

Thanks for giving me a very memorable birthday!!
