Dreams versus Reality

Came across a certain blogspot by a teenage girl recently. Somehow, she reminded me of myself, when I was at her age. Dreaming about my own house, own car. Then I realise... some dreams do come true, but not exactly the way a person would like though.

Like I once dreamt of owning a house and a car, so that I have more freedom, space and privacy. Now, I have my own room and sharing car with Dad. Not too bad actually, considering how much it cost to have a house and a car in Singapore.

Same goes for the idea of getting an ideal partner. Girls in teens often dreamt of their knight in shiny armour. In their castles, build on air, their knights will come, riding on a white horse to sweep them off their feet.

Yet, when I asked my best friend where is MY knight in shiny armour, her all-too-familiar answer would be, "He's probably still using braso on his armour!"

Life is all about dreams and reality, and striking a balance in between. But I still firmly believed in finding MY knight in shiny armour, one who probably will be like my Dad.

Dear, dear, wherever your are now, polishing that armour of your, please stop as wearing a armour is too clumbersome. Just come and sweep me off my feet, for my biological clock is ticking. But if you are polishing that car of your, do hurry. Afterall, I'm striking a balance between dreams and reality.
