I have a dream
Music transcends all borders. With the pace of the world so hurried, only music soothes the spirit. A calm surrender to the rush of day, an enchanted moment, when the heat of the rolling world can be turned away.So the two gurus created, a playground for the young and talented. Bands were formed, across all cohorts. Notes took position, chords fashioned. When the time is ripe, they will perform into the night. Sharing a fantasy, that coped reality.
As the curtain unveils, colours are revealed. A horde of nervous talents, facing the audiences, for what could be their debut. Their love for music, in one voice it exudes.
In the middle of the crowd, stood a girl whom all can be proud. Endlessly she searched, a place where she can be appreciated. There are times when she despairs, wondering if her dreams were beyond repair, even though she believed in her talent and never once did she relent.
Basking in the limelight, her face glow in delight. For after a long journey, this is the light. With all her heart she delivered, as free as a bird. Singing her way, to realising a dream. There can be no denying that music is her sanctuary.
As I sat here and type the words, she is planning her next step forward. So I took the liberty to quote, a few lines that she won’t find them remote. As they took her to this road, a less travelled route. But for now she should be enjoying, this precious moment, that’s worth preserving.
Thank you for the music, the songs I’m singing.
Thanks for all the joy they’re bringing.
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty.
What would life be?
Without a song or a dance what are we?
So I say thank you for the music, for giving it to me
