Fulfil Your Dreams...You Only Live Once

I met up with Sandra two days ago when she finally arrived in Singapore, after Bali, Java and Batam. We talked a lot, though it was more like she talked and I listened. Her travel tales never fail to amuse and amaze me, and I have always wanted to do something like that - go on a world tour. My wish is to just do Europe and then down Middle East, Russia, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and then home.

She talked of how she lost her hiking boots in Indonesia while talking pictures of little children who came on board the bus. Beautiful Australia, tourist & backpackers friendly South America and the scenic Canada. Etched on my mind, are her travel tales. But the words that lingered were "I told myself, I only live once so I have to fulfil my dreams."

She was lucky as she managed to get no-pay leave for a year to travel and she is going to have a month to get back to routine before starting work when she goes back to Germany. How many of us here actually can do that?

She said to make sure I get my hours back for those extra time I spent at work because I deserved them. Well, perhaps it's the culture or the different upbringing. Though we know we deserved those hours back, how many of us actually REALLY get them back.

Dreams are meant to be fulfil. So when can I fulfil mine?
