Floating Landing

Just when I was wondering what the floating landing is all about, I see all the floats on the Yarra River as I stood on the Swan Street Bridge. Enquiring further, I realised all the floats are part of the activities that lead up to the Commonwealth Games. And I prayed that I would be back here in a month’s time.

Turing left, it was Melbourne Park, home of the Australian Open. Further down stood the Melbourne Cricket Ground, which will not entertain any visitors in preparations for the Commonwealth Games. I stood at the pavement outside the structure that played a part during the 1956 Olympics. But a flood came and rendered the swimming pool useless. I wonder what’s inside the building now.
