South Melbourne Soccer Ground

The outdoor pool at Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre was closed for renovation for the Commonwealth Games, similar to the MCG (I was in the last guided tour available). I took a peek inside, and it was too grand to be true for me. I wonder how it would eventually turn out to be when the Games start.

Further up, I saw something that resemble a pond. Could it be Albert Lake? I walked on towards it to find out. Yet, the first place that caught my eye was the South Melbourne Soccer Ground. The pitch at Jalan Besear stadium might be impressive, but it's the stands that this place so different for me. Soccer might not be the main watched sports here, but the spectators' stand - the new Jane Bob Stand - is still very grand. The old stand is simply nostalgic.
