Loch Ard Gorge

Only two people from the 54 passengers and crew survived. A cabin boy, Tom Pearce, helped save a young women, Eva Carmichael, who has been washed on wreckage into the cove known as Loch Ard Gorge. After spending the night in a cave, Pearce climbed the gorge’s cliffs and eventually found help.

But sorry folks, no heart-warming love story ending here. Carmichael took the next ship back to England and Pearce became a sailor as he stayed on Down Under.

Personally, I felt that the Loch Ard Gorge is more spectacular than the Twelve Apostles. Probably because of the love story that never was. And I now look forward to the last stop of the day before dinner. LONDON BRIDGE!
