Elizabeth St – Internet Café

The experience of walking Albert Lake finally made me understand what it meant by “being baked” in all those Enid Blyton books I read, especially those of Famous Five.

By escaping back into the city, I wanted to find somewhere where there is air-con. The first place that came to mind was the Internet café near Victoria Market. No more going to the Internet cafes at Swanston St or Elizabeth St – for fear of the stalker.

Plus, the rate at this particular café was cheaper. But I couldn’t reduce the size of those photographs I took in there. I ended up spending A$9 – A$6 to burn the photographs into a CD and A$3 for the hour I spent on the Net.

I really regretted not bringing my 1 gig thumbdrive with me on this trip.
