Chinatown & Greek Preccint
Walking from street to street, I ended up at Little Bourke St and Lonsdale st - Chinatown and the Greek Preccint. Feeling a little hungry, I ventured into one of the Vietnamese shop, Mekong Vietnam - Vietnamese Rice Noodles soups, for dinner. There is a mixture of crowd here, and the business was not bad. The furnishing reminds me of the traditional kopitiam back home. I ordered the chicken noodles - the type that I love so much - and soyabean milk, which was a disappointment. But the noodles was a total different story.
The bean sprouts and the basil leaves arrived on a separate plate, from the soup noodles. I dumped all the bean sprouts and basil leaves into the soup and started eating. Not bad at all, just that the soup was a little too saltish. Still, it did help my craving for Vietnamese noodles.
Entering into Chinatown seems like being transported to Hong Kong as conversations in Canotonese can be heard all over the place. Just a street away was the Greek Preccint. The dessert shop, International Cakes, there just made me stopped in my stride and stared at all the cakes and desserts. Hmmm, will buy some back for sis.
