Before Sunrise!
Thanks to that Stalker, I had to wake up at 5am and make my way to Southern Cross Train Station to take a train to Flinders’ Street and then to Williamstown Beach. I should be on my way to Brighton’s Beach instead I had to reshuffle my plans. Tired from last night’s “escapade” and hungry from the lack of food,I literally dragged my feet to Williamstown Beach while psyching myself to stay positive, be happy, you are going to the beach. Two stops later, I found myself staring at the door of the train and wondering why didn’t the door open. I looked across to the other side and saw people pressing a button on the doors to open it. Ah… that’s the “open sesame” button. I hit the button and Whow the door open! Country bumpkin!!
Sitting alone in the train, I observed the passengers and tried to imagine what sort of person are they, making up stories as I went from one person to another. As I got further and further away from the CBD, the number of passengers dwindled down, and I found myself becoming drowsier as I dozed off to sleep. I was vaguely aware of the announcements that were going on at each train stations until “Williamstown Beach” woke me up.
Williamstown Beach station is above ground, and the station is only made up of two shelters, one on each side of the railway tracks. A couple of people walked out with me, and I stopped at the notice board to note down the times at which trains depart for the city as I shivered in the cold.
